After being deprived of victory on Saturday, the Luxembourger Dylan Pereira made a triumphant return to the top of the podium on Sunday in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

Pereira had passed Enzo Trulli aggressively during the first race of the new season. However, his manoeuvre was deemed too aggressive by the race officials, resulting in a 5-second penalty for the Luxembourger, which dropped him to 4th place. As a result, Enzo Trulli, son of former F1 driver Jarno Trulli, claimed the win in the first race.

In the second race, held at the Shanghai International Circuit as part of the Formula 1 event, Pereira started from pole position and dominated from start to finish, crossing the line as an undisputed winner. Meanwhile, his rival Trulli was forced to retire at the start due to a technical issue.

Pereira successfully repelled all attacks after the restart and completed the 13-lap race with a comfortable lead. The victory came under optimal conditions, with no major incidents during the race. Rodrigo Dias Almeida finished in second place, while Brock Gilchrist completed the podium in third.

With 42 points after the first two races, Dylan Pereira now leads the overall standings in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

The next races of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia will take place in Motegi, Japan, from April 18 to 20.
