From Friday to Sunday, the 35th edition of the Novotel Cup in volleyball is taking place at the Coque.

The 35th edition of the Novotel Cup kicked off with a strong performance from Luxembourg's men's national volleyball team.

On Friday evening, the FLVB squad defeated England 3-0 in a dominant display. The first two sets were comfortably won by Luxembourg, with scores of 25-17. The third set proved more challenging, going into overtime, but the Red Lions held their nerve, securing a 32-30 win to seal the match.

In the women's competition, the opening match saw England face Germany (U18). The match was a thrilling five-set encounter, with both teams battling hard. England emerged victorious with a 3-2 win, with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 22-25, 19-25, and 15-13.

The Novotel Cup continues on Saturday. Luxembourg's women’s team will face England at 4:30 PM, followed by the men's team’s match against Germany (U19) at 7:00pm. You can follow the live stream with our colleagues at RTL.lu here.
