The Luxembourg Rugby Ladies Day returns for its third edition on 12 May, bringing together girls and women to celebrate and empower them in sports.
Hosted by RCL (Rugby Club Luxembourg) at Terrains du Sport Boy Konen, the event will be graced by the presence of Minister of Sport, Georges Mischo, and Minister of Gender Equality and Diversity, Yuriko Backes.
This day aims to promote inclusivity, diversity, and gender equality through sport. It provides an opportunity for females of all ages and skill levels to unite, share their passion for sport, and inspire the next generation of female rugby players. With Touch and Rugby stations, the event introduces newcomers to the sport in a safe environment.
Giulia Iannucci, a coach at RCL, emphasises the importance of government backing to promote gender equality in sports. Their collaboration demonstrates the dedication to nurturing an inclusive sports environment.
Aligned with the national Diversity Day Luxembourg, Rugby Ladies Day aims to break stereotypes and pave the way for a more inclusive future in rugby, as it unites players, coaches, and supporters from diverse teams and backgrounds.
