At the Novotel Cup, the Luxembourg men's team finished in a disappointing third place after two losses and one victory.

Against the French U18 selection, the Luxembourg team struggled in the first set but then found the right solutions against the tall athletes from the Hexagon to win their opening match 3:1.

On the second day, England was on the schedule. A team that has been consistently defeated in recent years. However, this year, the victory eluded them. Although the Luxembourgers were always close, perhaps they lacked the necessary bite to seal the deal.

On Friday, they faced Austria for the second place. The Luxembourg team narrowly won the first two sets. However, they were then partly outplayed by the young Austrians. The Luxembourg squad did not offer enough alternatives to turn the tide. In the end, the Red Lions had to accept a bitter defeat and settle for third place.
