The Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) has appointed Cristina Correia and Daniel Zirbes as the new coaches of the national women’s team, following the dismissal of Dan Santos.

Correia was previously a member of Santos’ coaching staff, while Zirbes has served as coach of the men’s U16 team, among other roles.

The announcement comes roughly two weeks after the FLF terminated Santos’ contract over serious allegations. From now on, the role will be shared between the two appointees.

Both Correia and Zirbes hold UEFA A coaching licences. The appointment comes ahead of the Red Lionesses’ two Women’s World Cup qualifying matches against Israel in April.
