
It remains to be seen if and how football can be played in times of Covid-19. At the moment, the Luxembourgish football association FLF has suspended all fixtures until 27 April.
According to RTL information, 9 out of 14 clubs in the highest national league have articulated their desire to cancel the current season. It has already been confirmed by official outlets that 60% of teams prefer this option.
Last week, the European football association UEFA advised all its members to complete their current season at a later stage, if the tide in the fight against the corona spread were to change. Otherwise, clubs would not be able to qualify for the upcoming seasons of Champions League and Europa League football.
All of the Grand-Duchy's fixtures have been cancelled until 27 April. The Belgian football association has already announced the cancelling of its current season, although they are expected to consider reversing that decision.
