Ruben Querinjean won the second edition of the "Lëtz Mile" in Luxembourg City on Saturday. The European silver medallist in the 3,000-metre steeplechase dominated the elite race and sealed the win with a new Luxembourg record over the mile, stopping the clock at 4 minutes 2.30 seconds.

For the Luxembourg athletes, the Lëtz Mile served as a warm-up for the World Athletics Road Running Championships taking place next weekend in Copenhagen, Denmark. Four Luxembourg athletes, Ruben Querinjean, Fidelio Klein, Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann and Marine Joblin, will be competing over the mile distance (1.609 kilometres).
