Görges, Bouchard, Bencic and Yastremska enter semi-finals

By the end of the day's games, only four players continued to compete in the fight for the title. The first semi-finals match will see Belinda Bencic from Switzerland play against Ukraine's Dayana Yastremska. The second semi-finals game is fought out between Julia Görges and Eugenie Bouchard from Canada.

In the doubles category, Mandy Minella and her partner Vera Lapko can still hope to win the tournament.

Singles:

Qualifier Belinda Bencic continues her journey towards the semi-finals. She defeated Vera Lapko 6:4 and 6:1.

Dayana Yastremska could not be stopped either. In one of the biggest moments of her career, she eliminated tennis legend Garbine Muguruza last Wednesday. Her series of successes continued on Thursday when she defeated Margarita Gasparyan 6:1 and 6:4.

Julia Görges faced Donna Vekic in her quarter-finals match. Görges won 6:3, 3:6 and 6:3.

In the last quarter-finals match, Eugenie Bouchard played against Andrea Petkovic. The latter was injured in the second set and gave up, which saw Bouchard move on to the semifinals.

Doubles:

Belgian team Greet Minnen and Alsion van Uytvanck defeated Paula Kania and Yana Sizikova 7:6 and 6:1.

Kirsten Flipkens and Johanna Larsson won their match against Viktorija Golubic and Jamie Loeb 6:3 and 6:3.

Defying expectations, Raluca Serban and dem Isabella Shinikova defeated Lyudmyla Kichenok and Katarina Srebotnik 6:1 and 6:4.

Mandy Minella and Vera Lapko won their game against Akgul Amanmuradova and Ekaterina Yashina 6:3 and 6:2.
