Tour de France LIVE: Pau > Gavarnie-GèdreThe sixth stage on Tuesday from 3.00pm on RTL Télé and RTL Today

RTL Today
Watch the Tour de France live on RTL through to Sunday 26 July. The race will also be streamed live on RTL Today, the RTL app and RTL Play.

Stage 6: The sixth day of the 2026 Tour de France features the race’s toughest stage so far. Starting in Pau, the route crosses the Col d’Aspin and the legendary Col du Tourmalet before finishing atop the new summit finish at Gavarnie-Gèdre. The final climb is a new addition to the race and lies within a stunning national park, while the two preceding climbs have been among the Grande Boucle’s iconic landmarks for more than 115 years. The combination of these two legendary passes and a brand-new summit finish makes this stage particularly intriguing. Any rider hoping to gain time in the general classification will likely need to launch an attack on the Tourmalet, around 40 kilometres from the finish. Although the final climb stretches for almost 20 kilometres, it is not especially steep, averaging a gradient of 3.7 per cent and carrying a Category 2 classification.

RTL’s coverage will be broadcast on RTL.lu and RTL Play.
