RTL Today

On the public holiday of 9 May, everything at the Toodlermillen site will revolve around the theme of water. Visitors of all ages are invited to take part in a wide variety of activities and, as a grand finale, enjoy the exciting raft race on the Sûre River. Throughout the day, children can build their own mini-rafts on-site and compete in a race. Fantastic prizes await the winners, including a children’s birthday party at the Hanshaff farm in Bockholtz, tickets to the Marionettefestival (puppet festival), or a tour with the solar-powered boat on the Upper Sûre lake.

In addition, several special highlights are on the programme and require registration:

  • Guided tour of the Hanshaff farm: A tractor will take you directly from the Water Festival to the educational farm, where children can get hands-on experience.
  • Water tastings: Water can have very different tastes - discover the differences during this tasting experience.
  • Guided tour of the SIDEN wastewater treatment plant: What does a wastewater treatment plant look like and how does it work? You’ll find out during this guided visit.

Admission is free. The Water Festival will take place on Thursday, 9 May, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Toodlermillen. The full programme and detailed information about the shuttle buses transporting visitors from Goebelsmühle train station to the Toodlermillen can be found here:
