National Golf Days are back: your chance to discover the sport that could change your life!
The Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Golf is organising the second edition of the National Golf Days, an event dedicated to introducing and promoting golf. The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, across five golf courses located throughout Luxembourg.
Over this weekend dedicated to discovery and enjoyment, participating golf clubs will open their doors to everyone. The aim is to give people of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to try golf in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. With free introductory sessions, a wide range of activities, and open access to facilities, the National Golf Days are designed to attract a broad audience, including those who have never set foot in a golf club before.
This event reflects a strong commitment to making golf more widely accessible and to showcasing it as a well-rounded sport suited to everyone. Through this initiative, the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Golf aims to highlight the true nature of golf: a modern, inclusive, intergenerational sport built on values such as enjoyment, sharing, and well-being.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience golf firsthand under the guidance of qualified professionals. This immersive approach allows beginners to form their own impressions and discover that golf is much more than a leisure activity: it is a complete physical exercise that engages the entire body while developing mental skills such as concentration, precision, and strategic thinking. Golf also improves flexibility, balance, and endurance, strengthens core and back muscles, and stimulates the cardiovascular system. Mentally, it encourages stress management, patience, and focus.
Golf is also unique for its strong social dimension. It brings together players of all ages and backgrounds and can be enjoyed with family, friends, or colleagues. It fosters interaction, sharing, and conviviality in a peaceful natural environment.
Building on the values and benefits of the sport, the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Golf demonstrates that golf can be played throughout one’s life. With its low physical strain, it adapts to individual abilities and supports long-term activity and well-being.
During the National Golf Days, the general public, men, women, children, teenagers, and seniors, is invited to discover the many advantages of golf, try their first swings, and perhaps even embark on a new passion that could change their lives.

The National Golf Days 2026 will take place on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, offering a 100% free, comprehensive, and varied programme designed to help everyone discover golf in the best possible conditions.
Throughout the weekend, sessions will be organised across all participating sites. These introductory sessions, led by experienced professionals, will take place in small groups to ensure personalised guidance and a high-quality experience.
Sessions will be held at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., each lasting one and a half hours. They are open to participants aged 8 and above and provide a progressive and fun introduction to the basics of golf.
During these sessions, participants will explore different aspects of the game, including long shots, short approaches, and putting, allowing them to grasp the essential techniques of golf.
In parallel, a wide range of activities will be offered throughout the weekend. Fun and engaging activities will be available for children from the age of 4, introducing them to golf in an enjoyable and age-appropriate way. Some clubs will also host special activities such as tastings, guided tours of the course led by experts trained by Luxembourg’s Natural Parks, or competitions open to all.
Food and beverage areas will be available on-site, offering bars, snacks, and special menus so visitors can fully enjoy their day in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
A large raffle will also be organised during the event, with prizes including golf lessons for several participants: an ideal opportunity to start playing golf with friends.
Access to the National Golf Days is free of charge. However, registration is strongly recommended for the introductory sessions to ensure optimal organisation. Participants are also advised to arrive approximately 15 minutes before the start of their session.

Golf is a remarkably well-rounded sport, offering numerous physical, mental, and social benefits. Accessible to all, it can be adapted to individual needs and abilities, making it a truly unique activity in the sporting landscape.
A sport for all ages
One of golf’s greatest strengths is its intergenerational appeal. It can be played from a very young age and throughout life without real limitation. Children develop key qualities such as discipline, respect for rules, and concentration, while adults enjoy a balanced activity that combines relaxation with physical movement.
For older individuals, golf is an excellent way to maintain regular physical activity without excessive strain. It allows players to stay active while protecting their joints, thanks to its gentle and progressive nature. It is common to see different generations playing together on the same course, sharing meaningful and enjoyable moments.
A physically accessible activity
Unlike more intensive sports, golf does not rely on sudden or high-impact movements. It can be played at one’s own pace, adjusting both duration and intensity according to individual fitness levels.
A typical round of golf involves walking several kilometers, helping to improve endurance and cardiovascular health. The swing engages multiple muscle groups, particularly in the back, shoulders, arms, and core, enhancing coordination, balance, and flexibility.
A more affordable sport than you might think
Golf is now more accessible than ever, especially regarding its cost. Many clubs offer reasonably priced introductory packages that often include equipment rental and professional coaching.
This evolution allows a wider audience to discover golf without significant initial investment. The National Golf Days fully reflect this approach by offering free introductory sessions open to all.
A sport that benefits the body
Golf contributes to overall physical fitness. Walking long distances stimulates blood circulation, improves endurance, and supports energy expenditure.
The swing engages the entire body and strengthens muscles in depth, particularly in the back and core. It also enhances posture, coordination, flexibility, balance, and muscle tone.
A sport that benefits the mind
Beyond its physical advantages, golf has a highly positive impact on mental well-being. Practiced outdoors in a calm, natural environment, it provides an opportunity to disconnect from daily stress.
Golf encourages concentration, patience, and self-control. Each shot requires thought and precision, stimulating cognitive abilities and fostering strategic thinking. It also helps improve emotional management, both in moments of success and challenge, making it deeply rewarding on a personal level.
A social and convivial activity
Golf is also a highly social sport. Often played in small groups, it encourages interaction, connection, and relationship-building.
Golf clubs offer a vibrant community life, with regular events, friendly competitions, and shared moments. This social dimension greatly enhances the appeal of the sport – many golfers form lasting friendships on the course.
