The Disco Express travels all over the globe, stopping in a different city every weekend to bring those 1970s grooves to 21st-century audiences. Although the musical genre first emerged in the United States, it was in France where the world's first discothèques emerged. Bell-bottoms jeans, roller skates, and platform shoes soon became a staple of 70s nightlife.
But disco did not disappear after hits heyday. Indeed, the genre has since multiple comebacks in recent decades, with disco sounds once again gaining popularity in both mainstream music and on the dancefloors of modern nightclubs.
If you're a fan of classic and modern disco – or would just like to dance the Bus Stop – then perhaps you should consider hopping on the Disco Express.
Hosted by Luv&dBeat, this Friday's edition at De Gudde Wëllen will mark the first time the Disco Express makes a stop in the Grand Duchy – bringing retro sounds with notes of contemporary house, disco, and groove.
The groovy evening is organised in collaboration with the Luv&dBeat collective, comprising local selectors Groovy Huv, Leo Lopez, and Rice Krispie, who all feature on the line-up. Joining them is Magnolia, whose signature hybrid sound features live instruments – promising a potent night of boogying and hustling.

Whilst platform shoes and and bell-bottom trousers aren't mandatory, some basic disco knowledge is required for your chance to win to tickets to The Disco Express at De Gudde Wëllen on Friday, 22 May. To take part, simply answer the following question:
