Friday the 13th is usually associated with bad luck. We’re flipping that on its head.

On Friday, 13 February, Today Radio launches Lucky 13, a live on-air competition giving listeners the chance to win a pair of concert tickets. And not just any tickets.

You could be heading to see:

• Win a pair of tickets to see Jason Derulo at Rockhal on Tuesday, 24 February. Tune in to The Sam Steen Show from 6am to 10am.
  
• Win a pair of tickets to see Álvaro Soler at GRIDX on Sunday, 26 April. Tune in to The Lunchbox with Stephen ‘Steps’ Lowe from 10am to 1pm.
  
• Win a pair of tickets to see Robbie Williams at Luxexpo Open-Air on Monday, 6 July. Tune in to Drive with Tom Einarsson from 4pm to 8pm.

How Lucky 13 works

In this competition, two listeners go head-to-head live on air.

They’ll bid down on how little of a song they need to hear to correctly name the exact song title. The shorter the clip, the greater the risk. When one contestant refuses to go any lower, the final bidder hears the clip for the time they called.

If they get the exact title right, they win the tickets. If they get it wrong, the other contestant gets their chance. If both miss it, we play the song in full and it’s sudden death, first to answer wins!
