The body of a 27-year-old man was discovered inside a single-family home in Merl on Sunday evening, with a suspect later taken into custody, according to the public prosecutor's office.

The victim was attacked with a sharp object inside a single-family home on Sunday evening. His body was discovered at the scene. By Monday, authorities had taken a 27-year-old man into custody as the presumed perpetrator.

The public prosecutor's office has tasked the criminal police with carrying out the investigation. The examining magistrate has ordered a forensic medical examination and issued an arrest warrant against the suspect. Inquiries are ongoing, and authorities have not yet established a concrete link between the victim and the alleged offender.
