Running from 18:00 to 21:00 on Tuesday May 12th, this year’s event is built around the theme Pathways, bringing together speakers from across science, music, education, design and the arts to explore the different routes people take through life, learning and creativity. The line-up includes physicist and TV science presenter Dr Chris Clarke, environmental storyteller Christian Clauwers, manga artist and educator Sabrina Kaufmann, guitarist and composer Veda Bartringer, and University of Luxembourg professor Bradley Ladewig, among others.
Organisers say the evening is designed to spark discussion both inside and outside the venue, with short talks and performances aimed at encouraging new ways of thinking around education, innovation and personal growth.
One of the standout moments of the evening will come from the winners of the 2026 Luxembourgish National Idea Competition, organised together with the Ministry of Education. Students from secondary schools across the country were invited to submit ideas, with finalists Lyra Wells and Zora Isabella Krstić selected to present live on the TEDx stage.
TEDxLuxembourgCity has become a regular fixture in the local cultural and ideas calendar, bringing together speakers, performers and audiences from Luxembourg and beyond under the wider TED banner of “ideas worth spreading.”
