The Californian band return to Luxembourg on Thursday, September 24th, and tickets didn't hang around for long, with the show now completely sold out.

For more than three decades, CAKE have occupied their own peculiar corner of alternative rock.
Led by John McCrea, the band emerged in the early 1990s with a deliberately different approach to the grunge dominating American alternative music at the time. Rock, funk, country and pop have all found their way into the mix, alongside McCrea's unmistakably dry vocal delivery and, of course, plenty of trumpet.
Songs including The Distance, Short Skirt/Long Jacket, Never There and their version of I Will Survive helped build an international following, while albums such as Fashion Nugget, Prolonging the Magic and Comfort Eagle became staples of late-90s and early-2000s alternative rock.
Their most recent album, Showroom of Compassion, went all the way to number one on the US Billboard 200.
It's been a long wait for another CAKE album, but that is about to change.
The band are currently working on their ninth studio album, which is expected to arrive in autumn 2026, and they've already begun introducing some of the new material.
Hold You (Responsible) was recently released as part of the Songs for Sex compilation, while another new song, Billionaire in Space, was premiered during a Live From the Freight Elevator session with Texas Public Radio.
McCrea has described the latter as "an observation of economic imbalance and being left behind." Both tracks are set to feature on the forthcoming album.
So the sold-out den Atelier show arrives at an interesting point for CAKE: plenty of songs from a back catalogue stretching back more than 30 years, but with a new record just around the corner too.
