Avatar’s huge success

James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash has crossed the $1 billion global box office mark, just weeks after its December release, making it the fourth film of his career to reach this milestone. The sci-fi epic continues the saga of the Sully family and sees strong international support, underscoring cinema’s enduring pull for big-budget franchise storytelling.

Cameron’s latest entry also stands out for its emotional storyline focusing on loss and conflict with the Ash People, while boasting returns from stars like Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang. Its rapid climb past nine figures reinforces Avatar as one of the most commercially powerful film franchises of the 21st century.

Disney has officially revealed the leads for its live-action adaptation of Tangled, with Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider. Directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), the film aims to capture the charm and musical energy of the 2010 animated classic.

The project, part of Disney’s ongoing wave of animated-to-live-action reimaginings, resumed development after a pause in 2025 and looks set to blend nostalgia with fresh perspectives. While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, early fan reaction to the casting has been strong, suggesting Tangled may be one of the year’s most anticipated family films.

Johnny Knoxville has confirmed a new Jackass movie, scheduled for theatrical release on June 26, 2026, the fifth film in the beloved stunt franchise. Knoxville shared the news on social media, hinting at more outrageous, high-stakes antics from himself and returning crew members like Steve-O and Chris Pontius.

Despite serious injuries sustained during past films, Knoxville’s commitment to the franchise remains strong, with the teaser promising the same chaotic energy that made Jackass a cultural phenomenon. The announcement has sparked excitement from longtime fans eager for another dose of daredevil mayhem.
