PraiseWhomever found and rescued my keys on Thursday - thank you

RTL Today
While not a big thing in the grand scheme of things, finding that someone had taken a moment to save my lost keys from getting lost/ruined made my day.

Short story longer than it needs to be, I have a new backpack with handy little side pockets - but I didn’t realise they’re not designed to hold smaller items, as there are deliberate little openings on the side of the netting. Naturally my keys jumped right out as I was zooming* through the back streets of Walferdange on my bike on my way to work.

*Panting endlessly with my considerable efforts only resulting in rather underwhelming speeds.

I didn’t realise anything was amiss until I arrived at work some 30 minutes later, and didn’t have time to cycle back to find my lost keys — nor, if I’m honest, the energy tackle the hill from Dommeldange to Kirchberg a second time.

Freelance journalists are far from rich, so the prospect of having to replace the front door lock to the building, our own lock, the key fob for work.. well, not fun.

Slowly making my way back home, I found that someone had spotted my keys on the road (they’d quite clearly been run over at least once as the sturdy key ring was demolished), picked them up, and placed them on a fence post where they were easy to spot.

A small gesture, yes, but one that saved me a heck of a lot of hassle and a fair bit of cash. So, if you happen to see this, thank you!
