iZombie – Netflix
What if the zombies were already living among us, minding their own business? Liv Moore, a medical resident, wakes up after a boat party that ended in an explosion, to find that she’s really, really pale and craving human brains.
She abandons her medical career for a job at the county morgue, to keep herself fed with all the brains she needs, while having a respectable day job that allows her to keep her status as a living dead secret from her family and friends.
Each time she eats the brains of a person, she gets glimpses of their life and death, allowing her to solve their murders. But she also inherits the dead person’s character traits at the same time, leading to a lot of awkward or funny situations.
“Izombie” is a crime procedural and a comedy, where each episode gets a case of the week, while the central story stays with Liv and how she navigates a life definitely out of the ordinary, trying to keep the zombie population to a minimum and the zombie apocalypse at bay.
