Outlander
Based on the books of Diana Gabaldon, Outlander tells the story of Claire Randall who, during a stay at Inverness, Scottland with her husband in 1946, is carried to the year 1743 as she walks through the standing stones at Craigh na Dun. She allies with a group of Scottish Highlanders, using the medical knowledge she acquired as a World War II nurse to make herself useful.
Caught in the past, suspected of being a British spy or a witch, Claire survives by marrying one of the Highlanders, Jaimie Fraser. Even though Claire tries to get back to her own timeline, she is stopped, at first by the English capturing her, then by her love for Jaimie.
Outlander is a love story spanning decades and centuries, going back and forth between different times and eras, putting the couple in physical jeopardy and through traumatic events, their love helping them overcome these obstacles again and again. And if Claire and Jaimie can make it through all the hardships that life throws at them then a little quarantine should be manageable for any relationship.
