Killing Eve – Apple+
Eve Polastri is a British intelligence investigator, bored by her job and her life. Almost by accident she makes a connection between a series of apparently unrelated deaths, certain that they are in fact murders perpetrated by the same woman.
Frustrated because she is not taken seriously by her superiors, she goes against orders and is fired from MI5 only to be recruited by a secret department inside MI6 where she is tasked with finding the female assassin who calls herself Villanelle.
Eve and Villanelle start a game of cat and mouse, both fascinated by the other woman. Sandra Oh, formerly of “Greys Anatomy” and Jodi Comer play their characters with obvious relish, highlighting the differences between grounded, sarcastic Eve and psychopathic, ever-changing Villanelle.
The dark humor of the show is one of the reasons it was instantly successful when it started airing in April 2018. The third season is currently airing on BBC America. “Killing Eve” is a British Production with a mostly English cast and was shot all over Europe.
