Here, employees would be able to sit together without restrictions, while those who are not vaccinated or who do not provide information about their vaccination status must continue to accept social distancing rules in a different area.
Bayer, Eon and Alltours are some of the companies concerned.
Non-vaccinated employees will still have access to canteens, the newspaper writes. Bayer said that everything would be planned “in close cooperation” with the works council, and a pilot project is ongoing. But the companies emphasise that everyone will have access to the canteen and cafeteria no matter their status.
The chemical company also stated that the employees would join forces on their own in working groups without unvaccinated persons. “Self-organised groups”, for example in open-plan offices, laboratories or sub-areas of production, could voluntarily apply the 2G (vaccinated or recovered) rule, allowing workers to hold meetings without masks or distance.
All of the companies surveyed, including Deutsche Post, Deutsche Telekom, Henkel, LEG Wohnen, L’Oreal Germany, RWE, ThyssenKrupp and Vodafone, stated to the “Rheinischer Post” that they would keep the home office quota substantial.
