Nuclear plants in Belgium"Tihange 2" and "Doel 3" to be shut down before the end of 2025

RTL Today
German news site "Westdeutscher Rundfunk" communicated the alleged closure, although officials have not yet confirmed the news.

According to the news site, some of the plants could remain active to counteract potential energy deficiencies, but the two units in question are still set to be shut down permanently.

A Belgian court decided in September that Tihange 2 could continue to operate despite a number of cracks in the reactor. Local municipalities had previously taken the issue to court for security concerns.
