The woman was walking down Rue de Wiltz at around 2.20am when a stranger grabbed her around the neck from behind. The man threatened to use a knife on her if she fought back and forced the victim to hand over her mobile phone. He then fled in the direction of the cemetery.
The perpetrator is described as being around 20 years old, with pale skin. He spoke French and wore jogging bottoms, a jacket and a cap. Police have asked that any witnesses to the incident get in contact with any information.
