After Weiswampach Mayor Claude Daman stepped down from his role on 3 September, the local municipal council has now appointed a new mayor alongside a new aldermen council. On Tuesday, the Weiswampach municipal council designated Néckel Polfer as the next Mayor of Weiswampach following a secret ballot vote.
On 3 September, Claude Daman decided to step down from his mayoral duties, citing difficulties in balancing his professional responsibilities, his private life, and the challenging role of being mayor.
According to the municipality’s press release, there were no other candidates who had put themselves forward. Mike Hahn will stay on as Deputy Mayor while Mario Dichter will be appointed as Second Alderman. Claude Daman excused himself from the local council meeting.
Néckel Polfer and Mario Dichter will take on their newly-designated duties as soon as they are sworn in.
