On Monday, two people fell victim to scams in Bertrange and Esch-sur-Alzette, respectively.

In Bertrange, on Rue de Luxembourg, a woman approached a passerby seeking directions to the nearest pharmacy. After the victim described the route, the woman hugged them, seemingly to say thank you. However, shortly thereafter, the victim noticed that their watch had disappeared from their wrist.

Simultaneously, in Esch-sur-Alzette, an incident unfolded on Rue Jean-Pierre Michels. Two strangers rang the doorbell of a residence, feigning to be soliciting donations. As part of their ruse, one of the individuals requested a glass of water from the unsuspecting homeowner. Seizing the moment, the impostors stole the homeowner’s wallet and swiftly made their escape.

Additionally, on Monday afternoon, a violent mugging occurred on Rue de Strasbourg in Luxembourg City. Three unknown individuals reportedly stole items from the victim’s backpack before making off with the stolen goods.
