Spy scandalVerdict of SREL trial postponed to 25 June

RTL Today
Three former Luxembourg Government State Intelligence Service (SREL) operatives went on trial for illegal wiretapping, stealing data, and failing to respect the private sphere of their target.

The verdict in the case was initially scheduled to be rendered on 30 April, but the press service of Luxembourg's justice system announced this Wednesday that the sentencing date will be postponed to 25 June.

The reasons for the postponement remain unclear.

During the last hearing, the public prosecutor's office had demanded fines for the three defendants Marco Mille, Fränk Schneider and André Kemmer.
