After Belgian courts decided upon a reorganisation plan for Liberty Steel’s Liège site, Luxembourg’s Dudelange site must follow suit in order to accommodate the court ruling.

On Wednesday, the trade unions carried out a joint analysis with the Ministry of the Economy to discuss the future of the Dudelange site. As a result, Liberty Steel management and staff representatives have agreed the reorganisation should be accompanied by an employment maintenance plan, to be negotiated by union representatives.
