
Luxembourg’s unemployment rate has remained stable at 5.9% since November, according to the latest National Employment Agency (ADEM) report.
As of 31 March, the country counted 18,903 registered jobseekers - representing a 7.1% annual increase (1,249 more people) from the previous year’s 5.6% rate.
ADEM’s analysis reveals this upward trend primarily affects long-term unemployed individuals registered for 12 months or more, as well as highly qualified jobseekers holding higher education degrees.
The most impacted sectors include accountancy, IT, culinary production, and road transport driving. On the same date, the total number of jobs available was 6,821.
