The first accident occurred in rue Nelson Mandela in Esch around 4 pm on Wednesday. A child unexpectedly drove into the street with a scooter and was subsequently hit by an oncoming car.
Shortly thereafter, a similar incident occurred in Bettange-sur-Mess. A teenager entered a road while hidden between two standing busses. An oncoming car was too late to evade the pedestrian. The teenager was later brought to the hospital where he received brief medical attention.
