On Sunday, police officers in Luxembourg City arrested two individuals in separate incidents in the Gare neighbourhood.
One of these arrests occurred in the evening when officers on patrol noticed a person behaving suspiciously upon seeing them. A routine check revealed that the individual was wanted under an arrest warrant. The person was subsequently taken to Uerschterhaff Prison in Sanem for a medical examination.
Earlier that morning, another arrest took place in the same area, involving a suspected drug dealer. The individual became visibly nervous upon noticing the police presence, prompting officers to conduct a search. As officers approached, the suspect discarded an object, which was later identified as eight pellets of cocaine. Further investigation revealed that the individual was also wanted by authorities. The public prosecutor’s office was notified, and the suspect was taken into custody.
