During the late morning hours, a woman fell victim to a group of thieves. After parking her car near a crossing in the Gare district, she was distracted by a couple of men, while others simultaneously grabbed her purse from the backseat.
The second incident took place on Saturday evening around 8.30 pm near the bus stop "Centre Attert zu Bartreng". Two people were intimidated by a group of four, who took both their phones and caps.
The victims later described the attackers in the following way: three had dark skin, and one of them a light skin tone. They were between the age of 16 and 22. One of them was of heavier physique and had dreadlocks with blonde tips. Another one was considered thin and tall, probably around 1,80 m. One of them was wearing a Louis Vitton hat and a dark sweatsuit. The one with lighter skin tone wore a black hoodie and face mask. The victims were meanwhile unable to recall any details of another potential culprit.
The police is appealing for witnesses to come forward with any useful information on the identity of the muggers, which can be communicated to the Capellen department, or via the emergency line 113.
