
One of the men was found on the Kinnekswiss, the other near Boulevard Prince Henri.
Both of them were on foot at the time of the assault, which took place near the Princess Amélie Monument. They are said to have been attacked by no fewer than 20 individuals, one of whom inflicted a severe knife wound to the stomach of one of the victims. The man was first treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital.
Upon police arrival, the second victim was found in a state of shock and had sustained blows to the face. As a result, he was also hospitalized.
According to the report from authorities, none of the victims’ lives are in danger. Police searched for the perpetrators of the attack, but the effort was in vain. A forensics team has since been deployed to the scene and an investigation opened.
