Emergency servicesTwo injured after frontal collision on Route de Thionville

RTL Today
Two cars collided head-on in Luxembourg city on Sunday evening at 11.10pm.

One car swerved off its lane coming down the Jean-Pierre Buchler bridge, hitting a car from travelling in the opposite direction. Both drivers were hospitalised. The driver that caused the accident was seriously intoxicated and lost their license.

In other reports, a car attempting to overtake another damaged a side mirror in the process, but the responsible driver refused to note down their details, and instead took off. This happened between Warken and Ettelbruck. Police could later track down the man, who also ended up being intoxicated. The man actually had a driving ban and so his car was confiscated.

Shortly before 6pm, a driver’s driving style caught the attention of police officers. A breathalyser test proved positive.
