The Grand Ducal police stopped two intoxicated motorists on Wednesday night, confiscating their driving licences on the spot.

A police patrol stopped a motorist in Esch-sur-Alzette after he drove through an orange light on Boulevard John F. Kennedy. When checked, he was not only found to be over the legal alcohol limit, but also was driving despite an existing ban. His licence was confiscated and the vehicle seized by order of the public prosecutor’s office.

On Wednesday night, police stopped a car in Dudelange after observing the occupant’s erratic driving style down the A13. A subsequent test showed the driver was intoxicated, causing him to lose his licence and receive a provisional driving ban on the spot.
