RTL Today
Shortly after 9pm, bystanders alerted the police to an accident that occurred near the petrol station in Rue de Longwy in Rodange.

A driver tried to leave the station and was rammed by the driver of an oncoming vehicle on the main road. Witnesses noted that the latter driver seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. And indeed, when police arrived, they found that he had more than twice of the permitted level of alcohol in his blood. His license was revoked at the scene.

In Brouch, a drink driver provoked a spectacular accident around midnight, in which he totalled his car. He came off the road and crashed into a fountain outside of a house, which propelled his car into the air until it landed on its roof. The man had to be freed from his vehicle and transported to hospital. His license was revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Elsewhere, the police had to revoke three further licenses and award driving bans in relation to alcohol. One woman was caught damaging a flowerpot while trying to manoeuvre her car out of a parking spot in Esch-sur-Alzette. Another woman drove recklessly and with a flat tyre on the A4 motorway. And finally, a group of four were reprimanded for driving around in a convertible with loud music in Esch-sur-Alzette.
