Both men were aged in their forties and spoke Luxembourgish. One was of a larger build, with black hair and wearing grey/blue jogging bottoms and a grey jacket. The other was slim, wearing blue jeans and a blue pullover.
A family home was broken into on Monday, on Rue de Mühlenbach in the capital. Valuable items were taken.
Two drug dealers were caught red-handed at Luxembourg City station and in Gasperich on Rue de la Scierie on Monday. Officers seized 9 packets of cocaine and 50 grams of marijuana in total. Both dealers were arrested on orders of the prosecutor's office and were brought before a judge on Tuesday morning.
Police also stopped a motorist on Monday in Bertrange on suspicion of drink driving. Although the man was cautioned, he did not have his licence confiscated.
In Esch-sur-Alzette, officers checked a vehicle in the early hours of the morning due to the strong smell of cannabis. The driver tested positive for drugs and was sent to hospital for further blood and urine tests.
