Upon enquiry by our colleagues from RTL 5 Minutes, Luxtram stated that it was “merely a technical breakdown”.

On Wednesday afternoon, confusion spread among the passengers of the tram running between the central railway station and the tram station in the heart of the capital, ‘Hamilius’, when tram traffic was disrupted on the southern half of the line between 2.40pm and 3.10pm.

The reason: a tram was stuck at the ‘Hamilius’ station for technical reasons. Initially fearing that the tram would have to be towed away, Luxtram managed to solve the problem, and everything was back in order by 3.15pm.

The northern part of the network, between Kirchberg and Place de l’Étoile, was hardly affected by the incident.
