At the time of which we're typing up this weather forecast, Meteolux have issued two weather warnings for Thursday. But given that Wednesday's yellow alert was a false alarm, maybe they may be dropped by the morning.

What even is the weather? What are we? What is time? Okay, mini existential crisis over, let's focus on the current weather alerts.

There are two yellow alerts for Thursday, covering the entire country: one for wind gusts up to 80 km/h, which will be in effect from 3 pm to 9 pm, and one for five to eight cm of snow from 10 am to 8 pm.

The weather service indicates that there will be more unstable weather than on Wednesday, especially during the second half of the day. We should expect snowfall from midday onwards, which will become heavier as the day goes on and start to settle.

Tmperature-wise, it's gonna be nippy. Starting at between -1 and 1°C in the morning, temperatures will rise to between 1 and 3°C in the afternoon before dropping down to -1 to 1°C.

Traffic checks

Four checks have been announced for this Thursday, all in the afternoon:
  • Rue de Leudelange in Bertrange,
  • Kohlenberg in Luxembourg City,
  • On the N18 in Marnach,
  • Op der Strooss in Reuland.
