
The Grand Ducal police reported on Saturday morning that a motorcyclist hit a deer shortly before 5 pm on Friday in Biwer. He was taken to hospital, but only slightly injured, The animal died on the spot, and the damaged motorcycle had to be towed away.
Police also reported one case of drink driving at 3 am Saturday morning, after a car with a roaring engine was spotted speeding down Rue Kiemel in Mondercange. During a check, the officers concluded the driver was under the influence of alcohol and that the car’s MOT had expired. His driver’s licence was confiscated on the spot.
At around 9.40 am, another road injury was recorded when a motorcyclist suffered a heavy crash on the CR106 between Dahlem and Hivange. Emergency services from Mamer and Kahler were at the scene.
Lastly, another motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car on Route d’Arlon in Capellen at 11 am this Saturday morning. Here, too, emergency services were called to the scene to assist the injured.
