
The university will thereby significantly expand its medical training programme with these specialist qualifications, with hopes of promoting research and reviving the medical profession in Luxembourg. They will also aim to increase the number of medical graduates in the country, in light of the current demographics among medical staff.

A bachelor's degree in medicine was launched at Uni.lu in 2020, with courses available in German or French. There are 25 places available on the 2021 course for general medicine practitioners, 5 for neurologists and 5 for oncologists.
