On the A3 and A7 motorways, notorious for heavy traffic during the evening rush hour, two accidents left three people injured on Thursday evening in Luxembourg.

Thursday started with a fatal accident in which a 29-year-old man lost his life on the CR119 between Imbringen and Altlinster, following a violent collision with a tree.

The afternoon brought another incident, this time a road departure on the CR314between Oberfeulen and Merscheid. The vehicle overturned, but the driver emerged with only minor injuries.

As the evening unfolded, around 6pm, the first collision occurred on the A3 in the Luxembourg City-Thionville direction, involving a car and a lorry. The fire brigades from Luxembourg City and Roeserbann, along with ambulance crews, rescued one injured individual.

Less than half an hour later, there was a pile-up involving several cars on the A7 towards Luxembourg City. Thanks to the prompt intervention of rescue teams from Mersch and Colmar-Berg, along with the Luxembourg City ambulance crew, two injured individuals were swiftly transported to emergency care.
