On 12 July 2023, a handbag was stolen from a restaurant terrace on rue de la Boucherie in Luxembourg City. A credit card in the bag was then used multiple times in restaurants and kiosks.
Police have circulated an image of the suspect and are asking that any information that might help to locate the man be sent to the police in Luxembourg city, either via the phone number (+352) 244 21 1000 or via the email Police.VILLEHAUTE@police.etat.lu.
The police also issued a reminder that should your credit or debit card be stolen, you should contact you bank as soon as possible and block the stolen card.
