According to the police report, the teenager slipped on the pavement and stumbled into the street where he was hit by an approaching lorry. The driver was able to brake but still hit the young man. The teenager was hospitalised but is not in critical condition. Police stressed that the incident could have ended far worse.
According to information obtained by RTL, the driver felt faint but police were unable to confirm. The driver was not injured in the incident. Firefighters from Walferdange and Luxembourg City were at the scene alongside emergency services from Luxembourg City.
