A police patrol noticed a man acting suspiciously on Rue Joseph Junk in the capital on Wednesday evening. When officers approached, the man was said to have quickly swallowed something, but then began choking. Police took the individual into custody on suspicion of concealing and dealing drugs. He was later brought before a magistrate.
Licence confiscated
Shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, a motorist was caught speeding and driving in an erratic fashion along Route de Larochette in Diekirch. Police pulled the car over and confirmed the driver was over the legal alcohol limit; officers confiscated the driver’s licence as a result of the infraction.
