The incident was reported to the police around 5.30pm on Sunday, 22 October 2023. The report indicated that a man had struck two people with a car on the dirt track in question. According to information obtained by RTL, the victims were the adoptive parents of the accused.
One of the victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the other passed away shortly afterward in the hospital.
Upon enquiry, the public prosecutor’s office confirmed that one person remains in custody, and ongoing investigations are in progress.
The 33-year-old man faces charges of murder and manslaughter, respectively.
