On Sunday evening, a heartbreaking event unfolded around 5.30pm in Grosbous, as a motorist collided with two pedestrians on a rural road.
Regrettably, one of the victims lost their life at the scene due to the severity of their injuries, while the other passed away shortly after being transported to the hospital.
Based on preliminary reports from the police, it appears that the two pedestrians were the parents of the driver involved.
The presumed driver was promptly located by the police at his residence.
The Diekirch Public Prosecutor’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for the individual, initiated an investigation into involuntary manslaughter, and assigned a magistrate to lead further inquiries.
According to our sources, the judicial police were still present at the scene on Sunday night, as late as 11pm.
