The weather warning is valid from 2pm to 6pm on Friday, says MétéoLux, and applies to the entirety of the country.
Winds are expected to reach speeds of up to 65 or 75 kilometres per hour. Residents are advised to be careful when out and about in case of falling or flying objects.
The forecast also warns of rain showers, with a temporary lull in downpours overnight.
Although the wind is set to die down on Saturday, the Water Administration has issued a flood warning between 7am and 2pm, particularly affecting southern parts of the country. For more up-to-date information, please check www.inondations.lu.
