These homes are categorised as ‘VEFA’ (vente en l’état futur d’achèvement), homes that are only constructed once they are sold to their future owner. Five more contracts are about to be signed, the ministers say.
The apartments, including two detached houses, are located in the City, Differdange, Ettelbruck, Ell and Steinsel. The total price for the homes is €69 million. Despite a request by the CSV, Kox did not go into detail about the price per square metre.
The statement goes on to say that 3 other projects with 70 apartments will also be examined.
By purchasing private projects, the state is supporting construction companies and speeding up projects, the statement reads.
