The Government Council approved two Grand Ducal regulations on Monday setting out the framework for relations between the Luxembourg Association of Doctors and Dentists (AMMD) and the National Health Fund (CNS), after the agreement was terminated by the doctors' association. The AMMD had also made clear that it did not intend to sign a new convention. The mediator brought in to steer the talks on the agreement issued a report last week noting that no settlement had been reached.
With the doctor-CNS relationship now governed by Grand Ducal regulation, there will be no interruption in the payment of care when the current agreement expires in October, and reimbursements will continue as normal. Rates, for the time being, will remain unchanged.
